We had a great night together at the Croft Hall watching the inspirational and hopeful Transition Towns film on a horrible wet Wednesday – a good turnout anyway and we were also inspired by Transition Marlborough‘s talk on how they are working towards environmental sustainability through initiatives on air quality, bee habitat, permaculture and much more. It was great to make environmental links with Marlborough and we enjoyed the discussion time afterwards. We agreed to meet up again soon and exchange information on what we are all doing to help our local environments and see if we can collaborate and combine efforts.
There was also a good turnout from HEAT volunteers who helped with setting up, clearing away and running the bar. Thanks everyone!
The HEAT group agreed to get together for more chats with an informal social evening -just drinks and conversations – at the John O’Gaunt on Wednesday 11 October from 7.30pm in the side room. ‘Green Drinks’ is a meet up for anyone interested in environmental matters. All welcome – drop in any time!
If you missed out on the film and discussion you can be similarly inspired by finding it on You Tube – In Transition 2.0 the movie. ‘A Story of Resilience and Hope in Extraordinary Times’ – Share it with your friends, host your own film evening – We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas after!

Meanwhile, we hope to see you on October 11th at John O’Gaunt –
